King Faisal midfielder, Frimpong Boateng, has opined that his employers will find a better replacement for its former player, Ibrahim Osman.
Osman was brought in to King Faisal on a season-long loan from Kumasi Asante Kotoko and has since been recalled by his parent club.
The Kumasi-based club confirmed the recall of Osman by Kotoko some weeks ago after a blistering season half-season with the In Sha Allah boys.
Osman scored 10 goals and made 4 assist in 15 games for the club in the 2019/2020 season which was cancelled due to the coronovirus pandemic.
Frimpong Boateng, who was a teammate of Osman at King Faisal, in an interview said he believes his club can find a replacement for the former Asokwa Deportivo striker; even better than him, though he respects his qualities as a player.
“Why not, we are going to find someone better than him. He is a fantastic player so is us who are still there.” Boateng told Kasapreko FM.
It will remain to be seen if King Faisal can really live up to this ambitious target set by their player after undergoing some restructuring.
As a measure of bridging the gap left by their ex-hitman, Boateng suggests the players that helped out the 20-year-old to chalk that feet will now take responsibility.
”I believe in the team. Those players who were assisting him will step up and take over the mantle. I’m sure we are not going to miss him. We wish him well.”
Boateng featured in 12 games for King Faisal before the season was truncated.
Assessing his own season, Boateng marked it good and looking forward to seeing himself improve in the next season.
”I think it was good. I always want to give out my best whenever I’m on the pitch. My target is to give my best and get a contract outside the country”, he concluded in the typical Ghanaian player voice with a dream to play abroad.
