A 26-year-old woman has been arrested by the Western Regional Police Command for trafficking five teenage girls from Nigeria to Ghana for prostitution.
The five victims, Ngozi Thompson, 17; Ruth Obi, 19; Angel Godspower, 20; Jenifer Demi, 17, and Emmanuella Okorie, 19 were rescued on Sunday by the Takoradi Metropolitan Police.

They added that after having being forced to sleep with men Gladys Obi would claim all the money they earned.
According to the Western Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), Redeemer Vincent Dedjoe said that the victims are being cared for by the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit of the Ghana Service.
