Deputy Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anthony Kwaku Boahen has described President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the most corrupt President in Ghana’s history after the latter lambasted his critics who are trying to place corruption tag around the neck of his administration.

“I got shocked to hear from the President he is not
corrupt. He is the most corrupt President ever in the history of Ghana”,
the outspoken politician described at many corruption allegations leveled
against some appointees in the current administration.
The president has been accused by his opponents of clearing
his officials in his governments involved in corruption scandals.
But speaking at the Ghana Bar Conference in Takoradi last
Monday, President Akufo-Addo said it is not his duty to clear officials, adding
that he has never independently declared any official innocent in instances
where they are alleged to be involved in corrupt deals.
According to him, “I am aware of the orchestrated attempts by my opponents to hang the tag of corruption on the necks of my government and myself, despite all the manifest efforts being made to deal with the phenomenon of corruption.”

But the NDC executive who disagreed with the assertion of
the President said “It is lie and I am sad to hear this from Nana
Akufo-Addo” insisting the current
NPP government is embodiment of corruption which is known to every Ghanaian.
