The suspension of Mr. AB Adjei, follows allegations made against him in an investigative documentary conducted by Manasseh Azure Awuni, titled “Contracts for Sale”.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako noted in an interview with Peacefmonline.com that the action taken by President Akufo-Addo reaffirms his position that he is a man who doesn’t condone acts of corruption.
“President Akufo-Addo continues to distinguish himself and show he is incorruptible. You can’t be corrupt and expect to be a free man under President Akufo-Addo. He believes in making the laws work and I want to commend him for referring the matter to the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) for quick action”, Mr. Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi said.
A statement released by the Director of Communication at the Office of the President, Mr. Eugene Arhin on Thursday 22nd August, 2019, stated that the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has suspended from office, with immediate effect, the Chief Executive Officer of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), Mr. AB Adjei.
