Northern Regional Minister Salifu Saeed has been appointed temporal care-taker of the newly created North-East region.
President Akufo-Addo on Tuesday February 12, announced the appointment of the Northern Regional Minister Salifu Saeed as care-taker of the North-East region until a substantive minister is appointed.
The North-East Region is one of the sixteen Regions created under the current government. It is located in the northern part of the country and was created in December last year after a referendum was voted upon to break it off the northern region.
The region’s capital is Nalerigu.
