President Akufo-Addo has on Tuesday announced a Gh¢20million fund for each of the six newly created regions to aid them take off smoothly.
He further assured that Government will share the national cake equally among all the regions in the country.
President Nana Addo urged the youth to work hard towards the progress and development of their area.
According to him, alot more can be achieved together if the youth in the various communities and regions irrespective of their political colours work towards a common good.
The creations of the new regions was a campaign promise by President Nana Addo in 2016.
A referendum was held in December 2018 to allow voters to decide for themselves.
The new regions include Bono East, North East, Western North, Savannah and Oti.
Ghana currently have sixteen Regions. The last time Ghana created new regions was in 1983 under a military regime.
